Liquido d’Oro

An innovative olive oil brand with respect for tradition.

Liquido d’Oro is a young company with a heart for Italian tradition and hand crafted quality. All olive oils by Liquido d’Oro are made by the first pressing done directly after picking the olives. Being on the professional market serving the finest restaurants in the Netherlands, Liquido d’Oro was ready to step into the consumer market. Based on the personal story of its founder, the Italian culture and the innovative bottle Liquido d’Oro is famous for, we developed a new brand strategy, identity, packaging and communication. Every oil is differentiated by its personal hand created icon, number and color that matches the HACCP colour codes for cutting boards. (product photography by Raoul Kramer)

Asylum Collection

A collection of limited handcrafted interior products to stimulate personal fantasy.

The Asylum Collection is the result of a collaboration between Dutch designers Bo Reudler and Chocolate and Foam founder Seroj de Graaf. Forced to collaborate by a project in 2002 during their studies at the Arnhem academy of arts and design, the designers started working by a shared vision and personal interest, work and design skills. After this first success the designers wrote a manifesto stating the lack of personal fantasy by modern design in 2004. This was the start of the Asylum brand that was founded a year later. For one and a half year Bo and Seroj worked intensively in their workshop on the developments of the collection by experimenting with materials and techniques to develop an unique collection of limited hand made products. Besides the collection also the brand identity, photography and all communication was created by the designers. The result is a fine balance between storytelling, craftsmanship and modern materials and technologies.

“The Asylum Collection dresses the skeletons left by minimalism, colors the world with multiform products. We are subservient to the experience.”

The collection was launched in Milan during the international design fair of 2006. It has been published worldwide in various media. It is now produced and sold in limited series via ToolsGalerie in Paris.

Carbon Chair

Modern technology materials combined with elegant craftsmanship.

The Carbon Fibre Chair is a unique project that combines high quality materials, craftsmanship and the outstanding properties of carbon fibre with a great design. Carbon fibre is one of the most well known high-tech materials and has changed the last decade of the automotive industry in many ways. It is well known for its strength, stiffness and lightness. Created by woven layers of carbon with a matrix of epoxy resin the technology offers a tremendous freedom in designing shapes because it can be multiply curved in various directions at the same time.

Having the experience working in the automotive industry and knowing the outstanding qualities and possibilities of carbon fibre, Ceemo design was in search of new application for this great material. Together with Chocolate and Foam they develop a concept for a unique piece of furniture that translates the high quality materials from the automotive industry into a product for a more private environment: the living room. The result is a chair that is as light, sexy and elegant as a ‘Phalaenopsis’ orchid. The design shows all the unique properties and high qualities of the carbon fibre. Bringing high quality materials from the circuit into the consumers living room we take a unique step forward in creating exciting new applications for carbon fibre. (images by Ceemo Design)
